Chabad Ocean Drive has been an enormous light for my daughters and me. When we moved here, away from everything familiar, we had concerns about adjusting to a new town, school, and shul. This all changed when we entered Chabad. It’s not just a new shul — it’s family, where we were welcomed like loved ones. I am inspired each time we walk through the doors. The radiance on my girls’ faces will stay with them forever.

—Zelda Volkov

At Young Jewish Professionals, we connect with others through Shabbat meals, volunteer nights, and other incredible ways to make an impact. The shul caters to so many demographics in a way that is welcoming and full of energy, enabling people of all backgrounds to connect with their Judaism in a tangible and loving way.

—Vanessa Chalem

When we moved to the area a few years ago from NYC, we quickly discovered that Chabad Ocean Drive is one of the most welcoming shuls we have ever attended. We love the fact that it is very ‘kid-friendly,’ because as a child, I was definitely not a fan of shul. Our three-year-old son runs into shul to see his friends and have great meals. We also love davening with travelers from all over the world, who know Chabad Ocean Drive is the place to be.

—Alex & Yaffa Matatov

Chabad Ocean Drive is a Jewish home for people from all walks of life. It brings the Torah’s light and embraces everyone, from those who received their Jewish education in the best yeshivas to Jews, like myself, from societies where religion was non-existent or even forbidden. I support Chabad in memory of my paternal grandparents, who perished in Holocaust, and my maternal grandparents, who were forced to hide their beliefs and daven behind tightly closed shades in Moscow. I am motivated to encourage more people to be proud Jews and to help Chabad’s light grow and shine brighter.

—Boris Dragunsky, PhD, PE

My husband and I have been admirers of Rabbi Leibel and participants at Chabad ever since meeting him within days of moving here seven years ago. We were not seeking a religious home, having already served on committees and boards at numerous temples, raising money and trolling for members. However, at Chabad it’s all about community and family. When Rabbi asked if I would help raise funds to keep Chabad functioning, I was delighted to have a chance to give back. We are so thankful that we found Chabad and our religious roots. Thank you to Chabad’s donors who make this all possible!
